Or... it could be yet another laughably bad forgery attempt.

It's difficult to belive anyone could have created this effort whilst looking at a genuine Armstrong signature. I can only assume that it was badly copied from one of the miriad of bad forgeries that plague eBay, in the mistaken belief that they're all genuine.
