The Gemini 8 crew patch can be clearly seen in these closeups from preflight portrait photo S66-27513.
The Crew Patch

The Gemini 8 crew patch is shown on the right. Note that most souvenir versions of the patch overlook the fact that the symbols at the bottom are not "IIVIII" but the Gemini symbol followed by "VIII" for the mission number. The left and right upright parts of the Gemini symbol curve inwards, as can be seen on the crew patch.

A flown example of this patch recently sold for over $7000 [1].

The patch is approximately 3" (75mm) in diameter.

This patch, produced by an unkown manufacturer, is the design worn by the Gemini 8 crew on their space suits. [3" / 75mm]

The AB Emblem version is not too bad but uses a straight "II" instead of the curving Gemini symbol at the bottom. [approx 3" / 75mm]
