The Gemini 12 embroidered patch is clearly visible on Aldrin's spacesuit in the detail from S66-59940 shown on the left.

The patch is also visible in the shot of Buzz Aldrin's EVA shown in S66-62782 (right).

The Crew Patch

The Gemini 12 crew patch is very rare. A recent example sold for $710[1]. Another unflown example was sold in a batch with several other rare patches but the overall price realised by the lot would also tend to value an example at around $700 to $1000.

A flown example of this patch recently sold for over $5000 [2].

NB: The actual patch worn by Buzz Aldrin on his spacesuit during the Gemini 12 mission is due to sold by Heritage Auctions at their upcoming space auction on March 25[3].

The patch is approximately 3" (75mm) in diameter.
